US Federal Reserve expected to cut rates in September

CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the US Federal Reserve is expected to cut rates in September following the release of “better-than-expected” inflation figures. “At the nub of all of this were some better-than-expected inflation numbers,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia. “These are the ones that the US Federal Reserve look at very carefully. “There’s now a very firm resolve that we will see a rate cut from the US Fed in September, and that’s what we’re expecting to hear from them when they conclude their meeting this week on interest rates.” Presented by CommSec.
