US investigating leaked classified documents of Israel’s potential plans to attack Iran

The US is investigating the release of highly sensitive documents that are said to assess Israel’s plans to attack Iran. Officials in Washington have concerns about what this could mean for Israel’s war effort and the security of US intelligence. Two classified US documents reportedly assessing Israel’s retaliation plans were leaked online over the weekend. The documents first appeared on the messaging app Telegram on Friday and reportedly detail the movements of munitions, Israeli Air Force exercises and preparations of Israeli drone units. A US official told the Associated Press the documents appear to be legitimate US intelligence reports meant to be shared with the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, consisting of the United States, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
