The United States on Sunday (Jul 28) announced plans for a major revamp of its military command in Japan. It was among several measures announced by the allies to address an "evolving security environment" in the Indo Pacific, including various threats from China. This was revealed a day before talks in Tokyo between the so-called "Quad" countries - Australia, India, Japan, and the US.
