US military claimed attacks on Houthi positions in Yemen’s capital

The US says it carried out air strikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen's capital overnight. The attacks are the latest in a series of assaults against Houthi targets. It follows months of Houthi attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea, which the group says is in response to Israel’s war on Gaza. The US Navy says two of its pilots have survived after an American warship accidentally shot down their fighter jet in the Red Sea. It happened during operations against the Houthis in Yemen.
