US set to prohibit key Chinese software and hardware in cars

The US government has proposed plans to prohibit the use of key hardware and software from China in new vehicles. The ban on Chinese-made smart car software and hardware in the American domestic market would hit the EV manufacturer BYD, and some 140 other brands, hard.
