US storm: Heavy rain, powerful winds batter East Coast from Florida to New York

Heavy rain and winds have swept up the U.S. East Coast, bringing major flooding, widespread power outages, and at least one tornado. The powerful almost winter storm started in Florida, and battered homes and businesses all the way to Maine on Monday. "One of the trees started cracking, like it was a little stick and then it falls on the corner of the house," Socastee, S.C. resident Jose Flores said.
