In next week’s United States presidential election, the Democrats have no hope of winning Wyoming. It is the reddest state, with a larger share of Republican voters than anywhere else. This is symptomatic of a bigger problem for the Democratic Party, which is seeing declining numbers in some of the most rural parts of America.
