The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has expressed concern over the low turnout of domestic tourists to Kibaale National Park this year, with only 40% attendance, despite reduced tracking permit fees aimed at boosting local visitation. Known as the "primate capital of the world," Kibaale is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and 13 other primate species. However, efforts to strengthen domestic tourism have yet to yield significant results, despite the Open Park Day campaign launched in October this year. Our reporter, DAVID IJJO, sought insights from Uganda Wildlife Authority officials on their strategies to attract more local visitors. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
