Barbados needs to develop a culture of positive experimentation if the country intends to compete successfully in the global arena. Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, Marsha Caddle made the suggestion while participating in a "Fireside Chat" hosted by Future Barbados, at its Innovation Ignite Seminar series last evening at the Walled Garden Theatre. The Minister believes that Barbadian values can be integrated into research and development, which is a critical component of innovation. While comparing Barbados' education system to highly innovative countries, Minister Caddle believes the culture of experimentation and exploration should be built in schools to allow students to innovate and think differently.
