Vatican shows festive spirit with 29-metre-tall Christmas tree

The Vatican celebrates the festive season in style by installing a 29-metre-tall Christmas tree. The infamous Christmas tree was transported from the forests of Trentino. Large cranes were used to install the tree in St Peter’s Square. On December 7, a lighting ceremony will take place for the tree as well as a Nativity scene. Pope Francis is expected to be in attendance for the ceremony.
