‘Very good economic outcome’: Labor’s expected budget surplus due to ‘lower spending’

Hawker Britton Managing Director Simon Banks lauds the “very good” economic outcome from the government. Treasurer Jim Chalmers is expected to reveal a second consecutive budget surplus. “The government has delivered this through lower spending … in large part that’s because Australians have been in jobs,” Mr Banks told Sky News Australia. “I think the government can take enormous credit for the economic outcomes it’s delivered in a job sense. “This is very very good outcome from the government.”
