VICE PRESIDENT ALUPO, TEACHERS, DISCUSS ACADEMIC STANDARDS IN KATAKWI DISTRICT
The Vice President Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Alupo has met with teachers, head teachers and principals of all schools and technical institutions in Katakwi district to discuss academic standards in the district. The meeting was attended by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education and Sports Dr. Kadrace Turyagyenda, district leaders at the district headquarters. VP Alupo recognized the vital role played by teachers in shaping lives of the future generations and called upon them to enhance student outcomes. She urged teachers to remain focused despite challenges raised e by their Chairperson Pius Oleer. At least 1673 teachers comprising government aided primary school, community primary schools, Early childhood Development centres, government aid secondary schools, private secondary schools, community secondary schools, Epel Memorial Technical Institution, Katakwi Technical, and Private technical schools attended.
