Victorian cultural heritage processes delays building homes by 18 months or more

Sky News host James Macpherson says according to The Herald Sun the Victorian cultural heritage land process is delaying houses being built by 18 months or more. “We are all very well aware there is a housing crisis but in Victoria, the housing crisis is being made even worse by their cultural heritage process,” Mr Macpherson said. “That process demands land slated for development first undergoes checks to see if there is any culturally significant sites or artifacts before any houses can be built.”
