Voices of Gaza: Pregnant women face attacks, lack of care and dire conditions amid ongoing war

Since October 7th, 50,000 babies have been born under extreme conditions in Gaza. The constant threat of attack and displacement has led many pregnant women to induce labour early. Access to essential prenatal care is severely limited. Nermeen Al Zaaneen, two months pregnant, expressed her fears, highlighting the lack of medicine, private physicians, ultrasounds, and vital supplements. Living in overcrowded conditions with limited basic supplies, she described the mental exhaustion and fear of attacks, questioning when their suffering will end.
