VP Sara demands lawmakers stop harassment of OVP staff
MANILA -- Vice President Sara Duterte expressed her anger over an order by the House of Representatives to transfer her Chief of Staff, Zuleika Lopez, who was detained for contempt, to the Women's Correctional Facility in Mandaluyong. She criticized lawmakers, particularly Speaker of the House Martin Romualdez, for allegedly politically motivated actions that compromised the health of her staff. Atty Zuleika Lopez was initially brought to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, then transferred to St. Luke's Medical Center on Saturday morning.
