W.H.O spearheading efforts to refine its pandemic response strategy

The World Health Organization is spearheading efforts to refine its pandemic response strategy, in response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in Africa. The pandemic, which initially struck in Wuhan China in December 2019, exposed global health systems' capacity and weaknesses, prompting a reassessment of readiness for future pandemics.
