During a Georgia rally for Democratic U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Thursday, former president Barack Obama described Republican candidate Donald Trump as a “wannabe king” and “wannabe dictator,” and cautioned what a second term under his leadership might look like. Obama, who has been campaigning in political swing states for Harris, said Trump thought about no one “but himself.” “Donald Trump is a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down that golden escalator nine years ago,” Obama said. “He acts so crazy and it's become so common that people no longer take it seriously.” Obama warned that recent comments made by those who served under Trump's previous administration, such as former chief of staff John Kelly and retired army general Mark Milley, were concerning as they were not “woke Liberals.” He said that the reason they were speaking up is because they were concerned by the implications of a U.S. military under a second Trump administration. According to the Harris campaign, about 20,000 people attended the Georgia rally, which would make it her largest political rally yet. It is the latest attempt by the Harris campaign to capitalize on the backing of celebrities to rally voters in the closing days of a tight election race, including an appearance with Beyonce set for Houston on Friday.
