“Want an explanation” - Some MPs question why Ssegirinya’s health deteriorated after prison

Members of Parliament have expressed mixed reactions over the death of the former Kawempe North MP Muhammad Ssegirinya. Ssegirinya died on Thursday from Lubaga Hospital after a long illness which had kept him in and out of the hospital. Some MPS want an explanation of why the former MP’s health deteriorated after he had been released from prison in 2023. The Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among announced the death of the former MP during the Thursday plenary session.
