‘Want to take this fight to Canberra’: Nathan Conroy contending for Dunkley by-election
Frankston Mayor Nathan Conroy has thanked the Liberal members for “putting their trust” in him as he becomes the Liberal candidate for the Dunkley by-election. Mr Conroy is set to face off against Labor’s candidate for Dunkley Jodie Belyea. The by-election was prompted by the death of long-time MP for Dunkley Peta Murphy. Mr Conroy says he wants to focus on the cost of living as people are “choosing between bills and food”. “More and more people are becoming homeless because of this housing crisis due to the cost of living,” he said. “I want to hear from you, I want to listen to my community, the things that actually matter. “Over this election period please come up, please talk to me, because I want to take this fight to Canberra.”
