War on Gaza: Families search bodies after Israeli attack on school shelter in Deir el-Balah

At Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza’s Deir el-Balah, families are searching for missing loved ones after Israeli forces attacked a school shelter, killing 28 Palestinians and wounding 54. A mother searches for her son, hoping to identify him by a birthmark, while a man found his wife, killed while collecting formula milk at the shelter, by recognising her clothes. The hospital’s emergency department is overwhelmed, with staff struggling to provide care. The bomb, packed with nails and shrapnel, caused severe injuries.
