GPs have warned they are increasingly concerned about people self-medicating their ADHD amid an ongoing global shortage of drugs used to help manage symptoms. The issue is caused by manufacturing issues, supply chain problems and an increase in demand. ADHD patients have told Sky News that without vital medication they suffer from restlessness, inattentiveness and anxiety - with one saying he turned to alcohol instead.
