WASTE MANAGEMENT: EXPERTS PROPOSE USE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY TO REPLACE DUMPING AT LANDFILLS

The Executive Director, National Environment Management Authority Dr. Akankwasah Barirega asserts that unless modern methods of waste management are embraced, challenges that accrue from poor waste management will not only continue to cost the country or her populace but escalate cases of environmental degradation His remarks follow the collapse of the Kiteezi landfill that has so far cost over 20 lives and destroyed property.
