Waste ‘not as big a problem’ as people think with nuclear energy

The Australian’s Environment Editor Graham Lloyd says there is a “misconception” about the volume of waste that is involved in nuclear energy and the nature of radioactivity itself. This follows Opposition leader Peter Dutton revealing the Coalition’s nuclear plan, including the seven sites where they plan to establish the nuclear power stations. “It’s probably not as big a problem as most people think,” Mr Lloyd told Sky News host Steve Price.
