Wastewater recycling | Africa’s largest treatment plant handed over

The Water -and Sanitation Department has hammered home the importance of modern economies investing in water infrastructure. Contractors today handed over the two-billion rand, upgraded Zandvliet Wastewater Treatment Works to the City of Cape Town. One of the plant’s objectives is to promote the reuse of treated effluent for safe-to-drink as well as non-potable use. eNCA reporter Kevin Brandt was there and compiled this report. #dstv403
