Watch: FOCAC summit special – China-Malawi ties

The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) provides a new opportunity for promoting cooperation between China and Malawi at a new starting point. CGTN host Zheng Junfeng speaks to Malawi's President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera in an exclusive interview. Chakwera points out that the elevation of China-Malawi relations to a strategic partnership will bring more interactions between the two countries, and the Belt and Road Initiative will become a new opportunity for Africa to strengthen regional connectivity.
