Media were permitted to tour a Czech coal mine, the last in the country producing anthracite, also referred to as hard or black coal. The CSM mine, operated by Ostrava-Karvinska Mines in the village of Stonava near the town of Karvina, has been open since 1968 but will cease operations by the end of 2025.
