WATER TRANSPORT SAFETY: GOVT URGED TO EXPEDITE WATER SAFETY TRANSPORT REGULATIONS

The Commandant of Police Marine Unit , CP Sulaiman Kirungi, has called upon the Ministry of Transport and works to expedite the regulations to fully operationalize the Inland Water Transport Act 2021, to facilitate marine security enforcement on Uganda’s water bodies . This was during a stakeholders meeting on the prevention of drowning on Uganda’s water bodies, organized by the Global Health Advocacy Incubators (GHAI)at Kampala Serena Hotel.
