Wazalendo members trained on SACCO management

Lt Col Allan Kitanda, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Wazalendo Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation, emphasized the pivotal role of leadership in steering the growth of SACCOs. Speaking at a training session in Iganga District during the 43rd Tarehe Sita Anniversary celebrations, Lt Col Kitanda highlighted the need for strategic thinking among leaders, as SACCOs often rely on their guidance. Stressing the importance of good governance, he noted that visible progress in internal systems attracts more members. The training, aimed at expanding the SACCO movement in Uganda, included interactions with SACCOs from various districts. Ms. Gabula Milly, Chairperson of the Women Entrepreneurs SACCO, lauded the training's coverage of key topics and encouraged further sessions to help SACCOs progress.
