‘We can’t afford the risks’: Labor’s new visas won’t block pro-Hamas Palestinians

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie says Australia “can’t afford the risks” of the Albanese government’s new visa pathway which still allows Palestinians who express sympathy for Hamas entry into Australia. Palestinians who express sympathy for Hamas will still be able to enter Australia as a new visa pathway for refugees in Gaza is set to be announced. “I believe that we can’t afford any middle ground on this,” Ms Lambie told Sky News Australia. “It’s either 100 per cent of absolutely not and putting Australians first in this country. “We can’t afford the risks, mate; we just cannot afford the risks.”
