New Orleans City Councilmember Jean-Paul Morrell has described the attack on New Year’s crowds in the US city as a “horrific incident” which “scarred” the community. This comes as at least 15 people have died and 35 have been injured after a vehicle drove into crowds in New Orleans. “There’s a lot of stuff that we’re looking at in hindsight, a lot of things that we’re going to have to go and take a really hard look at and see how we can learn from this because it’s a horrific incident that has scarred this very resilient city,” Mr Morrell told Sky News Australia. “But we are a resilient city ... we’ll come out of this stronger.” Warning: Distressing footage.
