What's down there? Canadian university deploys Antarctic Ocean observatory

The University of Victoria (UVic) is expanding its research beyond Canadian waters, teaming up with Spanish researchers to deploy an underwater observatory in the Antarctic Ocean. Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) is the research facility out of UVic behind this and has more than 12,000 ocean sensors around Canada’s western and northern coasts.
