What are the different causes of headaches and when should you seek immediate medical attention?

Most headaches are not life-threatening or a sign of something serious like a stroke or brain tumor. However, seek immediate medical attention if your headache “is the worst headache of your life” or if it’s accompanied by a stiff neck, high fever, weakness or numbness, dizziness, lack of balance, problems with speech, confusion, or changes in vision.
