Speaking at the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing, President Xi Jinping proposed that China's diplomatic ties with all African countries be upgraded to the level of "strategic relations" and the overall positioning of China-Africa relations be elevated to "an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era."
