The first stop of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 will be taking place in Shanghai from Oct 18 to 20. Among the swimmers descending on the city are China’s very own Olympic stars. Of late, some of these sporting idols have fallen victim to fan mobs that are seemingly more chaotic and crazed than those going after the country’s entertainment stars.
