What to know about the Democratic National Convention in Chicago

US Vice President Kamala Harris will be officially confirmed as the Democratic presidential nominee at the party's national convention in Chicago this week. The convention, which runs from Monday to Thursday, will bring together more than 4,000 delegates to formally recognise Harris as the Democratic nominee and to approve the party's platform.
