A total of 179 people were killed when Jeju Air flight 7C2216 landed without wheels, veering off the runway and erupting into a fireball as it slammed into a wall at South Korea's Muan International Airport on Sunday (Dec 29). Investigations into the incident have been focused on a possible bird strike and poor weather. Aviation analyst Paul Charles tells CNA’s Asia Tonight that investigators will need to scour through communications and maintenance records, amid other probes, to determine the cause of the crash.
