WHO reports global decline in tobacco use

Projections from the World Health Organization's tobacco trends report indicate there are still 1.25 billion adult tobacco users worldwide. Global tobacco use is expected to continue to decline. In 2000, one in every three adults worldwide smoked, but now only one in five does. According to the research, 150 countries have successfully reduced their tobacco consumption.
