Why do we have Leap Day?

We know there are 365 days in a year but this year there will be 366.One week from today is Feb. 29, known as Leap Day. So why do we get that bonus day? Good Question. Kirsten Mitchell found the answer and even ran into a "leapling" celebrating her birthday on the actual date this year.
