At least six people have been killed in Pakistan, including four paramilitary personnel, as security forces fought overnight battles with supporters of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan. Protesters had earlier stormed into capital Islamabad to demand Khan's release. The city has been left paralyzed, with internet services suspended and mobility impacted. It remains unclear how long the standoff will last. CNA’s Hira Mustafa reports, while Dr Syed Mohammad Ali, a non-resident scholar at think tank Middle East Institute, discusses the factors driving these clashes on CNA's Asia First.
