The session saw a record number of 146 MPs suspended, leaving the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha with fewer members. The decision to adjourn early was made after the government completed its legislative agenda for the session. This comes amidst anticipation for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The statistics included 100 suspended opposition MPs from the Lok Sabha and 46 from the Rajya Sabha, reportedly for unruly behavior.
