Winthrop Rockefeller Early Childhood Center reopens with enhanced facilities and programs

A school that was closed for an entire school year due to renovations is now being reopened. The Winthrop Rockefeller Early Childhood Center has been transformed into a full-functioning early childhood center that serves children up to the age of five. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday morning where several school and city leaders, along with a representative from the Rockefeller family, were present to celebrate the revitalization. Little Rock School District describes the updated center as "reimagined" following the 50,000-square-foot project. The reopened facility features several amenities, including an exploration and discovery space, a theater space for reading, maker spaces for creativity, a community room, a nursing room, and more.
