Witnesses describe man shooting at cars on Hwy 401 near Toronto

Witnesses tell Global News they heard a shot ring out shortly after seeing a pedestrian pointing a firearm at vehicles while on Hwy 401 near Dixie Rd. in Brampton, Ont., on Tuesday morning. “By the time I passed by him, I could hear a shot fire out right behind me,” said Michael, whose drive was slowed by early morning traffic. “That’s when he stepped in front of my car and he approached my drivers side window," said Darren, another motorist. "The way he was holding the gun and the way he was aiming it at me — if he had fired, that would have been it for me.” Police say the suspect then stole a vehicle from a motorist from nearby Hwy 410, before abandoning the vehicle.
