‘Working people need proper wages’: Albanese not backing down from enterprise bargaining

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has shown his support for the Labor Party’s industrial relations reforms despite pushback from the Coalition. “What we are seeing is that for the number of people employed now, we have added some 900,080 plus jobs,” said Mr Albanese. “They [the Coalition] are always prepared to have a scare campaign. “What Labor governments do is understand that working people need proper wages and conditions but we also understand this, that employees have an interest in constructive and positive relationships with employers. “That’s why we support enterprise bargaining because they have a common interest.”
