World Bank launches projects in Kamwenge

A host of community socio-economic projects aimed at improving the living conditions of refugees and the nationals has been launched in Kamwemge district. The World Bank at a cost of 24 Billion shillings has funded the projects that include a modern market and taxi-park, 2 resource centres and a sports complex. Judith Nabakooba, the Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Dev’t, officiated at the launch of the community projects, urging the beneficiaries to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities.
