World Bank mission - World Bank team inspects USMID program

A World Bank team is in the Eastern area, conducting a review of ongoing infrastructure projects under its $360 million funding for urban local governments. According to Stephen Ajalu, a Senior Urban Specialist with the World Bank, the weeklong inspection across the municipalities is intended to verify the progress of civil works before to the program's completion in June. The team is inspecting roads in Moroto, Mbale, Tororo, Busia, Kamuli, and Lugazi, among other metropolitan authorities.
