World Patient Day Shines Further Spotlight On Deficiencies In Local Healthcare

As local medical practitioners joined global counterparts this week in observing World Patient Safety Day, they continue to call for a strategy that will fix the island’s broken healthcare system. The theme for this year’s observance is “Improving diagnosis for patient safety” but the local medical and dental association says failure to take urgent action to address the issues confronting the health system will result in poor access and delayed diagnosis and treatments for patients.
