WWII Explosives found in Arkansas park
Signs around Burns Park in North Little Rock are calling for parkgoers to look out for old explosive devices. Lindsey, a travel blogger with All About Arkansas, said one day she went out with her children to explore the park and noticed the sign. Tomas Rofkahr with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said the signs had been around since even before he was a kid and noted the park was once used as an old military training site. Rofkahr said back in World War I and II, about 48,000 acres of land in a corridor between Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Conway were all part of Camp Robinson and Camp Pike.
