Youth participate in wholesome activities
Dozens of young Barbadians were under the watchful eyes of criminal justice officials today...not because they had broken the law, but as a consequence of wanting to make a positive difference by participating in wholesome activities. It's all part of the first ever Youth Tournament Pop Up, organised by the Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit, in conjunction with the National Peace Programme. Director of the Unit, Cheryl Willoughby says those involved showcased their talents in areas they chose, such as dominoes, road tennis and backgammon. She says the Unit is looking to replicate today's activities across Barbados going forward.
