Zach Churchill says 'loss belongs to me' after Nova Scotia Liberals out as Official Opposi

Zach Churchill said Tuesday that the Liberals “fought hard” despite a devastating loss in the Nova Scotia election, with the party losing Official Opposition status to the NDP. “The loss belongs to me and me alone,” he said, addressing a disappointed crowd. “We respect the voters’ decisions and accept with humility in our hearts and with peace in our hearts what they decided tonight,” he said. Churchill said he was proud of the campaign the Liberals ran but said he would discuss his future as party leader with the local association and remaining caucus in the days to come.
