Zoe McKenzie ‘a decent person’ says Liberal MP Keith Wolahan

Liberal member for the Victorian seat of Menzies Keith Wolahan has praised Liberal MP Zoe McKenzie for being a “decent person” in light of a controversial social media post celebrating Labor MP Jodie Belyea’s Dunkley victory. Ms McKenzie took to social media late Saturday night to congratulated the new Labor member for Dunkley Jodie Belyea, but criticised by the more hardened of Liberal supporters. “Zoe McKenzie is a formidable advocate, and a decent person and she did the right thing by fighting the good fight which she did for Nathan Conroy, and then acknowledging the winner,” Mr Wolahan said. “That’s what we do in a democracy. “To do otherwise is to disrespect the voters, and our democracy. “I think we need more of the kindness, and the good grace that was shown by her.”
